9-12 months before

Once the question has been popped, determine what type of wedding you want, how many guests you wish to invite and select a wedding date and time.
Set an initial budget.
Research availability of wedding ceremonies in church, synagogue or registry office and a venue where to have your reception.
Book an appointment to view 30 Pavilion Road.
Book a band or DJ – as they can get reserved quickly.
Research the bridal gown, groom’s suits, bridemaids’ dresses and best man’s suit.
Start looking for a photographer, videographer, a local florist and set appointments to view their work.

6-9 months before

Start compiling the guest list with your families.
Make a decision and purchase on your bridal gown, accessories, groom’s suit, bridesmaids’ dresses and ushers’ suits.
Start planning the honeymoon, research your destinations.
Choose your florist.
Order the wedding cake.
Arrange transportation for the wedding, bridal cars, saloons or vintage cars.
Buy the wedding rings.
Select and order the invitations and stationary.
Complete the wedding guest list.
Finalise the honeymoon and make your flight, hotel reservations.

3-6 months before

Make an appointment at 30 Pavilion Road to confirm the menu and catering details with your wedding co-ordinator.
Finalise the florists, photographer, musicians and wedding cake and give these contact details to your wedding co-ordinator.
Buy a wedding guest book.
Plan the hen night.
Plan the stag’s night.
Arrange for necessary accommodation for out-of-town guests, at Searcy’s Roof Garden Bedrooms and / or in the Knightsbridge area.
Prepare all maps and directions for the ceremony and the reception.
Write and post your wedding invitations.

1-3 months before

Select any gifts you wish to give your ushers, bridesmaids, bestman and close family.
Set appointments with your hairdresser and / or make up artists.
Finalise your transport arrangements.
Plan the seating plan for the reception as well as that for the ceremony.
Start writing place cards.
Choose the music for your ceremony, back ground music during the reception, first dance and last song. Give this information to the relevant musicians, band or DJ.
Buy a gift for the groom.
Buy a gift for the bride.

2 weeks before

1 week before

Finalise the seating plan.
Reconfirm your honeymoon reservations and ensure you have received your air tickets, got passports…etc.
Start packing for your honeymoon.
Give the final number of guests you are catering for to your wedding co-ordinator 3 working days before the wedding date.
Drop off the seating plan, place cards, stationary, wedding favours, special diet requirements wedding guest book and pen to your wedding co-ordinator at 30 Pavilion Road.
